You keep track of all my sorrows.
You have collected all my tears in your bottle.
You have recorded each one in your book. ~ Psalm 56:8, NLT
Crying your eyes out? Thinking no one cares? Let me introduce you to Someone who not only cares, He collects all your tears in a bottle.
Our Abba God—the endearing Father who not only treasure your tears but records each one in His book.
When the world tells you crying is weak. When everyone looks on your tears as embarrassing, the Creator of the Universe is telling you, give me your tears. I want them all.
The tears you shed in secret are collected, preserved, cherished.
Your tears of anguish. Your tears of pain. Your tears of fear. Your tears of shame. He knows about them and He wants them bottled.
Why does God want to collect your tears? Why record them in a book? Are you going to be judged for them?
Nah. Far from it.
God wants you to know that you are not alone in your pain. He knows every heartache you go through. He knows your every toss and turn through the sleepless nights. You are not forgotten. You are His beloved. And your tears belong to Him.
So the next time you’re hurting and crying, know that your Abba God is collecting your very tears in a bottle. Believe that whatever you are going through is temporal and God is for you. He is a God of restoration and He will work all things out for your good.
And He promises in His word: You will grief but your grief will be turned to joy.
