I will answer them before they even call to me.
While they are still talking about their needs,
I will go ahead and answer their prayers! ~ Isaiah 65:24, NLT
Are there times when you have no words for prayer? You go to God but have no words for Him?
I remember a season like this. I went to God but I couldn’t pray. My heart was heavy. My mind was numbed. My spirit was crushed. All I could manage was to curl up on the floor.
I wanted to speak but the words were stuck in my throat. There were so much I wanted to say but all I could manage was an audible sigh.
But I knew that even though I couldn’t utter a word, God heard me in my spirit. Loud and clear.
That’s why He said in Isaiah 65:24, “I will answer them before they even call to me.”
No one heard. Not even me. But God knew. And He answered. Even before I went down on my knees to pray.
Little wonder because I recall Psalm 37:4 says, “Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.”
Friend, words are uttered mostly for our comfort so that our minds can comprehend what has been said. But God doesn’t need spoken words. We are connected to Him by spirit and He knows our hearts and minds…more so than we know ourselves.
So the next time you go to God and you don’t know what to say, just dwell in His presence in silence. He can read your mind. He can hear your heart. Remember…He knew you even before you were born.
