Keep me as the apple of Your eye; Hide me under the shadow of Your wings. ~ Psalm 17:8
Do you know you’re God most favorite person? No kidding! It’s in the Bible!
Just take a look at Deutoronomy 32:10:
He found him in a desert land
And in the wasteland, a howling wilderness;
He encircled him, He instructed him,
He kept him as the apple of His eye.
In this verse, Israel (God’s people) is figuratively represented as a man without food or water, surrounded by howling, ferocious beasts. But God found him and kept his safe, taught him, and kept him as the apple of His eye.
Are you God’s people? If you belong to Him, then you’re the apple of His eye!
Don’t doubt it. Just claim it the way David did in Psalm 17:8-9:
Keep me as the apple of Your eye;
Hide me under the shadow of Your wings,
From the wicked who oppress me,
From my deadly enemies who surround me.
Beloved, whatever you’re going through today, know that God is your Abba Father. You’re His most cherished. He so loves you and calls you the apple of His eye. And that’s the only reason He gave you His best—His one and only Son—the Son whom He loves dearly.
Believe and embrace that! When you do, you’ll be empowered with a giant-slaying spirit like David knowing that because you’re the apple of God’s eye, your enemy can never come against you successfully.
